The Delores Poindexter Auzenne Chapter of the Black Law Students Association plays a pivotal role in helping acclimate law students to the legal field. BLSA’s main objective is to increase the number of professionally trained Black Lawyers, but our organization is open toindividuals of all backgrounds, races, sexual orientations, and political preferences. We sponsor and participate in a number of educational, political, social, and community service activities. We also offer a number of opportunities to network with local attorneys and ourBlack Alumni network and are active in fighting for racial, gender, and social justice within the law school community and greater legal world. We encourage all BLSA members to take advantage of all opportunities that the College of Law and the National Black Law StudentsAssociation have to offer.

Mission
The mission of the Chapter is to maintain a vibrant Christian law student fellowship on the Florida State University College of Law campus, which enables its members, individually and as a group, to love the Lord with their whole beings--hearts, souls, and minds--and to love their neighbors as themselves. (Matthew 22:37-40).

In striving to accomplish this mission, the Chapter shall be guided by the ten purposes set forth in Art. I of the national CLS bylaws and by the LSM Threefold Ministry Model, which entails three interrelated activities to be carried out by the Chapter:
- Cultivating spiritual growth through communal prayer, fellowship, and worship; learning to share one's faith; and devotional study of the Bible and classic Christian works.
- Showing the love of Christ to the campus community and the community at large by proclaiming the gospel in word and in deed, such as through a life of integrity and charitable good works; as Martin Luther put it, "to be as Christ to our neighbor.
- Addressing the question, "What does it mean to be a Christian in law?" that is, learning to submit every aspect of one's calling in the legal profession to the Lordship of Jesus Christ.

The mission and purpose of CABA FSU Law is to provide opportunities for student members to engage with legal professionals, further the networking of members with local professionals in all areas of legal practice, and educate members about perspective careers within the Cuban American Community. New networking and potential career opportunities will be created by hosting events through the Cuban American Bar Association, or “parent organization”, inviting guest speakers to the law school, and offering a nationwide mentorship program. CABA members obtain professional and job developmental skills by participating with CABA’s parent organization events throughout South Florida and the rest of the United States.

The Environmental Law Society (ELS) is a student organization for anyone interested in environmental law. ELS provides a forum to address key environmental law issues on the local, state and federal levels, as well as functioning as a group available to participate in local environmental cleanups and fund raisers. ELS provides its members with opportunities to travel to national environmental law conferences and to make contact with state and local environmental employers through pro bono and internship opportunities.

The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies is a group of lawyers and law students, primarily conservatives and libertarians, interested in the current state of the legal order. It is founded on the principles that the state exists to preserve freedom, that the separation of governmental powers is central to our Constitution, and that it is emphatically the province and duty of the judiciary to say what the law is, not what it should be. This group is the Florida State University chapter of the Federalist Society. Our primary purpose is to investigate and educate on topics related to the issues above. Our primary method to achieve this is through debates, panels, and other speaking events. We also attend regional and national conferences for our own education. We provide -- and take advantage of -- opportunities to network with other chapters and associated professionals. And, not to be diminished, we have fun together in and out of the classroom.

Founded in 2000, the Business Review is the largest legal journal of the Florida State University College of Law.

The Business Review is designed to provide a scholarly forum for contemporary legal discourse and to address the issues and concerns transforming the business law community. In doing so, the Business Review offers its readers a unique perspective of the various topics under the rubric of business, and the ways in which the mechanisms of business both influence and are influenced by the law. The Business Review is published once per year, is led by its Editorial Board, and is guided by its Faculty Advisors and the College of Law administration.

The Business Review publishes articles by professors, judges, and practitioners, as well as Notes written by second- and third-year law students. Each piece selected for publication in the Business Review is subjected to a rigorous editorial process designed to sharpen and strengthen substance and tone.

If/When/How is a national non-profit network of law students, professors, and legal professionals committed to fostering the next wave of legal experts for the reproductive justice movement. Mobilizing and mentoring new lawyers and scholars is a long-term strategy that will build capacity, vision, and leadership for a more successful reproductive justice movement. Law functions as both a catalyst to prompt the expansion of rights and a tool with which to hold governments and communities accountable for the delivery of liberty, equality, dignity, and fairness promised by those rights.
Reproductive justice will exist when all people can exercise the rights and access the resources they need to thrive and to decide if, when, and how to create and sustain a family with dignity, free from discrimination, coercion, or violence. We dedicate ourselves to ensuring access to medically accurate, age-appropriate, culturally competent sex and sexuality education, as well as comprehensive, quality reproductive healthcare, including prenatal care, postnatal care, contraception, abortion services, and alternative reproductive technologies for all people, free from coercion, discrimination, and violence.

ORGANIZATIONAL PURPOSE The Journal is formed exclusively for literary and educational purposes within the meaning section 301(d)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1954. The Journal shall not carry on any activities not permitted to be carried on by an organization exempt from taxation under section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code or engage in any activities or exercise any powers that are not in furtherance of the purpose of the Journal. PUBLICATION CHARACTER The Journal shall publish, at least biannually, a scholarly legal publication intended to serve policymakers, legislators, and the legal and academic communities.

The Journal shall be a student publication dedicated to research and publishing of transnational law and policy issues. The Journal shall be published annually by its members. The journal also strives to bring speakers on emerging international law issues for the benefit of our members and the law school, as well as the entire student body at the Florida State University. The speaker series, which includes the Lillich Lecture on International Human Rights, also attracts many distinguished guests from Tallahassee and surrounding areas. Furthermore, the Journal enriches our members' law school education by advancing editing and writing skills. We also offer students a forum to publish scholarly work.

OUTLaw exists at the Florida State College of Law to provide a platform for all students to learn about the legal issues facing lesbians, gays, bisexuals, transgender people, and others. OUTLaw sponsors events throughout the year to increase awareness of issues and to foster discussion of the current state of LGBTQ+ law at the national, state, and local levels. OUTLaw is committed to working with allied organizations on campus to better the Florida State community and ensure that LGBTQ+ students are treated with the same respect as the student body as a whole. The College of Law Trial Team consists of an elite group of law students trained in the art of trial-level litigation. Each year, team members represent the Florida State University College of Law in competitions against other students from law schools across the nation. At these competitions, team members present cases before judge and jury. Cases encompass a wide range of topics in both the civil and criminal arenas. Case topics have included insurance fraud, homicide, intentional infliction of emotional distress, negligence and wrongful death.
